I was just looking for a distraction from making banana bread. Just for a few minutes. I had seen something yesterday that caught my attention and decided to watch it. It is completely mind-boggling to me to try to imagine what this man went through. When we lost Dallin, I seriously thought for sure that that was the worst thing that could happen to anyone in this lifetime...losing a child. But to lose two children (plus one on the way) and a spouse...there aren't words. And to forgive as freely as he did. Again, there are no words because the emotions run so deep. I would hope that if I were ever up against something so devastating as this man went through that I would also act with dignity and forgive freely. But I also selfishly pray that I'll never have the opportunity to find out.
