It's the Little Things

As a parent, isn't it just those little victories that make us so proud, happy and get us doing old high school cheers? Evan buttoned a button for the first time today. Ha! That's it. But I thought it was a BIG deal. It was his first real time to try and he was bound and determined to do it, even when failure seemed certain. He did not want me giving him a bit of help at all. After much frustration, he got the job done. Probably not a big deal to anyone but me, but maybe it's just because it's one more step in the process of my little boy growing up. *sigh*

i know what you mean! part of you wants them to grow up and do all these great things and be more independent, and another part wants them to stay little forever. i guess that's parenting for you...one big tug-of-war.

Always so much fun to be proud of the little things in life. I think that is what keeps most mom going, are those little proud moments.

It's all those tiny milestones that give them so much satisfaction and make us as parent's feel like we are doing a good job.
